FOG in Trieste, February 2019

Project Description

Click on the picture on the right for a full screen, full resolution slideshow.

Thermal inversion in Trieste, Italy, on the 22nd of February 2019.

Thermal inversion is a particular situation that causes a thick fog close to the ground, while just a couple of hundred meters above the weather is clear and sunny. This makes for spectacular pictures of what resembles a sea of clouds.

In this case there was a beautiful sunset, and a mounting wind that blew away the fog.

I took nearly 2.000 pictures for a time-lapse. The gallery on the left is a selection of the pictures.

Gear used: Canon EOS M.
