Thermal inversion in Trieste, Italy, January 2022.
It caused a thick fog close to the ground with sunny weather just a couple of hundred meters above. This makes for spectacular pictures of what resembles a sea of clouds.
The clear sky above the fog made up for a beautiful starry night. The challenge was to expose long enough to capture the stars without burning fog or the lighthouse. It was impossible without a little compromise… enjoy the video.
Gear used: Canon EOS M with EF-M 18-55 and Canon EOS M6 ii with Samyang 12mm.
